An acoustic folk band, with 2 Scottish guitarists, Mark Mulholland and Craig Ward, Belgian double bassist Hannes d’Hoine and Malian n’goni player and percussionist Yacouba Sissoko. All 4 musicians sing, and the combination of intermingled strings, complex melodies and rhythms, and vocal harmonies blends Celtic and Mandingue traditions with blues, jazz and ambient elements.
